The Gagarin Cup — on Gagarin Street! Lokomotiv Hockey Club Championship Collection
Seventeen years on the road, three finals, and the emotions of thousands of fans — Lokomotiv from Yaroslavl has finally reached the final stop, capturing the league’s top trophy in dominant fashion. Quberten design studio created the championship identity so the club and its supporters could share this historic moment and preserve it in memory.

A locomotive charging straight toward the viewer became the symbol of celebration. The Gagarin Cup itself serves as the boiler, with champagne bubbles bursting upward straight from Lokomotiv’s victorious locker room. This image became the foundation for the jerseys the team wore during the championship parade.

Patch
Текст:
The studio had previously successfully implemented the league’s gold patch on ceremonial jerseys. For Lokomotiv, a new feature was created — a textured surface with a proprietary pattern shaped like the letter «Л» (latin L), the club’s emblem. Special thanks to the KHL for its flexibility and for approving a non-standard solution that helps set a higher bar for uniform design.
Another standout element is championship rings — long established in North America as a standalone symbol of victory and now gaining popularity in Russian hockey. Four championship rings appear on the jersey collar, highlighting the club’s winning history: from Torpedo, through Vladimir Vujtek’s golden double, to the first-ever Gagarin Cup.

A wide-ranging collection in which the traditional image of the Gagarin Cup on merchandise gives way to championship rings — an unconventional approach that serves as a full-fledged alternative and synonym for victory.

A special print featuring a victory advent calendar references a playoff tradition that has taken shape in recent years, when the team places a puck into a box on a board after each playoff win. Every club tries to create its own unique victory totem; in Yaroslavl, it became a custom coach’s tablet. The commemorative merchandise captures all 16 Lokomotiv wins, complete with final game scores.

A core symbol of champions — with a gold trophy pictogram and a raised championship logo. Wearing these caps, Lokomotiv took the home ice after winning the playoffs in May 2025.
