Spartak Pennant for the Space Station

Spartak Hockey Club, 2017
Concept • Printed Products
A spaceflight Soyuz MS-05 was launched in July 2017. The craft commander, astronaut Sergey Ryazansky has long been a fan of Spartak hockey club. He suggested that they should take the symbols of the club onboard, so we created a ‘space’ pennant: we styled the logo as a planet, depicting the installations of hockey superstars. We specifically thought about how to make the construction lighter — each gram of space load is worth its weight in gold.
Our pennant spent 139 in orbit and came back to the Earth, to the museum. It was specially stamped to confirm that it had been in space.
